Janet Jackson pays tribute to Michael Jackson.

Check out Janet Jackson at the BET awards on June 28, 2009. The loss of Michael Jackson is one of the biggest impacts on the music world in a long time (in my opinion). Many people started singing, dancing and wanted to be in the music industry because of Michael Jackson and all of the talent he shared with the world.

Black Eyed Peas on top again!

The Black Eyed Peas are at it again with not only a No. 1 chart topper, but a No. 1 and No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Top 100 with “I Gotta Feeling” at No. 2 and “Boom Boom Pow” at No. 1. (:

“I Gotta Feeling” had 249,000 downloads in its first week, taking the lead on the Hot Digital Songs chart.

I LOVE this song, almost as much as I love “Boom Boom Pow.” The Black Eyed Peas make me smile, I love their sound and love for the music they preform. I think “Boom Boom Pow” is the perfect summer/dance song. My friend L and I were talking about it and she hates the song, well hated, now that she has heard it in my car a million times she loves it. Its the perfect dance song because the beat is perfect. (: (Can you tell I love it? Haha.)

Summer laughs.

Heyyyy!! So I’ve just spent the last hour or so browsing through Digg and laughing hysterically. There is so much on the Digg website to look at and enjoy that I get caught up in doing so. I suggest you check out Digg if you aren’t already on it and if you are and you see some stuff you think I may have missed let me know.

This was the most AWESOME thing I saw while browsing Digg…45 Ridiculous Pictures of Boy Bands. I don’t think I have laughed this hard in a while. (:

I ♥ MySpace.. Although the least favorite of all my social networks (mostly because it is a bit outdated) MySpace has introduced me to a new band. My Jeremiah… They played in Fresno last night and I MISSED it, so I’m thinking I may have to travel to see one of their shows! (: Hopefully you enjoy them as much as I do… If you’re nice, they may just send you some music like they sent me.

Audio for Games and Interactive Media (GAIM) program.

I’m so excited… The GAIM (Audio for Games and Interactive Media) program has launched and the information is now available on the school’s website. Pinnacle’s whole website is being revamped to be made easier to understand and find information, which will be very helpful.

If you have any questions that you cannot find answers to on the website you can always comment me, email me at Christy.Tonic@PinnacleCollege.edu or you can send me a text message at 559.287.2018 and I can answer any of your questions or if I don’t know the answer I can talk to the people who do. (: Anything to make it easier for you!

You can check out the information about the new GAIM program at Pinnacle College, and tell us (or just me) what you think about it (comments, questions, concerns, ect.)

Don’t forget to fill out the information to the right to receive information, updates and other information about the GAIM program or any of the other programs at Pinnacle that you may be interested. The text messaging is a great way to get information about Pinnacle on your own time from the comfort of your phone. (If you’re anything like me you prefer texting to phone calls anyways.)

I also have my blog updates available via text if you are interested in signing up.. Just send TONIC for 41411. (:

(Also, on a personal note, a friend of mine from middle school is on So You Think You Can Dance… The last person from Fresno that I remember being on T.V. was Trisha from Real World and she got kicked off the show, haha. I know Jason will represent my hometown a lot better than that.)

O.A.R. writing a song via Twitter?!

Filed under: Bands, Music, Random — Christy @ 10:23 am June 9, 2009

Beginning today, June 9, through July 7, fans can submit their 140 character lyrics to the band’s page. “The band will then pick three winning verses, a chorus, and a bridge that will make up the lyrics of the song. Roberge said in a perfect world, all five songwriting parts will come from different submissions. At that point, the winning song lyrics will be posted for fans to once again get involved by submitting potential song titles,” Billboard.com said.

I think EVERYONE should take advantage of this. What a cool opprotunity to be apart of an O.A.R. song. I can imagine listening to it and being like “OMG that’s my lyric!” I think O.A.R. will probably get soo much good material that they will use it for other songs.

Here is a behind the scenes YouTube video of O.A.R.’s This Town. Its GREAT!!! (:

Log on to Twitter and send O.A.R. your own lyrics for one of their next songs!!! (:
