Yo, Digg-ity.

The Digg-ity there was said in my head similar to how Quagmire from Family says giggity! Anyways (: - Digg’s website is under a whole new design and I must say I love it! I really like the crispness of the new new set up, kudos Digg.

And another reason why I will always be a Digg.com fan… Finding out the hilarious things Kanye West says/does. Like The Twitter Wit and Wisdom of Kanye West… my favorite of the collection:

11. “There’s so many ways to break down the subject of power … me and Kobe went in on it… Perfect person to help out on that”

This is probably because I am a huge Kobe hater (that’s right, I said it). Not to knock him down, Kobe is a great athlete, but we never got this kinda crap out of Jordan - even Favre isn’t as annoying to me! If your good, we’ll see it, you don’t have to tell us (you too, Kanye!)

Anyways, haha… Check out the new Digg.com format, let me know what you think. Also, if you have any awesomness from Kanye, I’d love to see it.

Did you know?

That AOL offers FREE music?! Free music videos, FREE AOL radio (kinda like my friend Pandora). It also has an assortment of lyrics, pictures, news and tour dates! It’s like the perfect collection of what you (well I, at least) want out of music - your not left searching several sites to get the information, its nicely piled all in one place. Not going to lie, this is all new to me (being that I’m not an AOL fan -  not a hater either) and I think it’s pretty awesome.

Do you have a site that you love that people often over look? Is there a gem of a site out there that I am just completely missing? Is everyone missing out on all of its awesomeness?

Uh, ya, she’s got talent!

Did anyone else see 10-year-old Jackie Evancho? A “viewer pick” for the TV show America’s Got Talent wowed the audience with her performance. This little girl is fantastic, how she has such a large voice in such a small frame is beyond me. Jackie definitely has a future as a singer, how far she will go is something we can only imagine.

I can’t imagine being 10 years old and putting myself out there in front of such a large crowd, like she did. I get nervous in front of small crowds, but not Jackie, she held her amazing composure in front of all of America. She quickly showed the world that age is only a number.

I look forward to hearing more from Jackie.

Crappy NY Jobs.

Anytime I can find something that relates to celebrities that I know and crappy jobs I jump right on it. I love things like this because it makes people, including myself, feel better about their crappy jobs. We all know that this economy isn’t being very nice to us, being a recent college graduate I have seen friends and foe alike struggle to find jobs that will expand on their college education. I hope the list of rappers and their crappy jobs will remind you that what you’re doing now doesn’t have to last forever, you just have to get through it now and better things will be right around the corner. (A lot of optimism for a Monday, eh?)

So, smile. It could be a lot worse.

Wyclef Jean for President?

That’s right, musician Wyclef Jean has announced that he want to be the new president of Haiti. This blog is awesome because it names 10 musicians that would make a better president than potential president Jean. I can’t like, however, I do think it would be very cool to see a musician like Wyclef make a positive change for the future of a country like Haiti.

Have a great weekend! Don’t forget if your in the LA area, there is a FREE game audio workshop at noon!!

Time for a meltdown.

Not my own, fortunately. But these “superstars” have had some of their famous meltdowns caught on camera (never a good thing!) I thought these were funny, and anything that makes me laugh on a Monday is good. (:

I hope you enjoy the Top 15 onstage meltdowns. Have you witnessed better? I’ve been to a lot of shows and my favorite (not-caught-on-camera meltdown) was Panic! at the Disco. The entire band was so upset that the fans were too close to them… Ha, I PAID to see them but I can’t stand near the stage? (That’s why I didn’t buy their second album! Grrr!)

Have a great Monday, I hope Friday makes a quick arrival this week!

It’s ONLY Wednesday.

It’s definitely been one of “those” weeks. You know, the one where you look at a calendar (or in my case my DRIOD) and think, “really, its only Wednesday?” then 3 p.m. rolls around and I think again, “it’s only 3 p.m.?” Its at about this point every Wednesday that I take some time to stop working (because I need a reason for that, right?) and check out the internet for all of its newly updated awesomeness. Today, Digg gave me a little giggle (after my recent battles with Digg I was sure that we were no longer friends, but it has definitely picked up and redeemed itself over the last few days) when I saw a simple sketch (cartoon style) of Jimi Hendrix. Jimi happens to be high in my top five of all-time favorite musicians, so anything that relates to him makes me one happy camper (inevitably saving my Wednesday from total disaster).

jimi OK, so its not the FUNNIEST comic ever, but if you are a Jimi fan you have to get a little kick out of it… No one would ever dare ask him if he was experienced. You can even tell by the look on his face that he’s thinking, “really, do you know who I am?!”

I think it’s about time to finish of my Wednesday work day with a nap… wait, I mean, I’m going to finish of the day will a Jimi Hendrix playlist or maybe, just maybe, I will see what Pandora has in store for me with a Jimi Hendrix inspired playlist.

(Side note: Speaking of Pandora playlists, does anyone have a completely awesome Pandora play lists that they would like to share with me? Maybe something that can make my midday, midweek life more bearable? Something that will keep me awake and happy?! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!)

MySpace charging for streaming music?

Really, MySpace? You wanted to add yet another reason for people to make the switch to Facebook? After the big Facebook boom, MySpace has definitely seen a drop in profiles (or an increase in deleted profiles). Most of the people I know (outside of the music scene) don’t even bother with silly little MySpace any more. And now, MySpace is considering charging for their music streaming? Why? (I think this will also make a recent post more appealing to some people, Pandora Radio offers FREE streaming!

Silly MySpace! People don’t want to have to pay for things they can get else where legally and for FREE! I think if MySpace wants to (try to) stay in the Social Media race, they need to rethink the notion of making people pay!
